Composition: Sene leaves
Curative properties: Senna leaves, thanks to the anthrokinotic heterosides they contain, promote stool in the body. Senna is a well-known, efficient and useful plant since ancient times against constipation. In most cases, the tea can have a delayed effect since the laxative effect appears 10-12 hours after drinking it.
Preparation: The measure of a tablespoon of senna leaves, scalded in water (the measure of a normal glass). The mixture is left to cool and then strained and drunk sweetened with sugar as desired. Usually the tea is taken at dinner, before bed, and the effects are noticeable the next day. A tea at dinner is more than enough for a bowel movement or constipation. In cases where the use of tea gives pain in the abdomen (gastrointestinal), it is recommended to reduce the doses in preparation and use. The tea is recommended to be used for no more than two weeks, otherwise it is recommended to consult your doctor.
